Boy's Gymnastics Team

*SAGA Gymnastics would like to remind you that placement on a competitive team is by invitation only*

Contrary to popular belief, gymnastics is not a sport exclusively for females!

Athletes that partake in the Junior Development program for men's gymnastics will have to comprehend and master the six (6) apparatuses. These competitive events are: floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar.

The boy's competitive program starts at level 3 for compulsory and ends at level 7 and the more advance competitive levels (optional program) start at 8 and goes to 10.

Junior Development

SAGA Gymnastics provides two competitive options for women's gymnastics, these options are: Junior Development and Xcel. Both programs use the same events to compete on (Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor).

The Junior Development program has predetermined routines for all events in the compulsory level

(levels 1 - 5).

The next five levels (6 - 10) are more advance and is called the optional program. In these levels athletes will get custom made routines on floor (and floor music *floor music can be found on various websites) and beam from a choreographer.

Xcel Program

The Xcel program has more flexibility in their routines compared to the Junior Development program and the level system is different. Xcel's levels are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Sapphire.

Athletes in this program have custom made floor, beam, and bar routines and must follow the rules of their given levels.

In this program the competitors have more versatility for skills the athletes can compete in their designated levels.
